Things That Have Happened At Rehearsals

My school is putting on the school edition of Les Mis, and despite having seen the stage production, watched the movie, and read the book, my perspective on the characters will forever be altered by events like these:

• Only Combeferre, Courfeyrac, and Feuilly are played by guys. The rest of Les Amis (including Gavroche) are girls.
• Marius wanted to know if he could actually be “carried like a babe,” so Valjean carried him around the room bridal-style while Courfeyrac tried to steal his shoes.
• Enjolras, Grantaire, and Mme. Thénardier singing “Dancing Queen” around the piano
• Combeferre and Courfeyrac discussing the Columbian Exchange for a US History project while practicing waving the flag
• Feuilly teaching everyone how to do jazz squares
• During  “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables,” the students formed a semicircle behind Marius and started doing various Fortnite dances.
• During the final battle, Courfeyrac died dramatically and fell off the barricade… right next to Jehan, who was sitting on the floor studying the music, and looked up in complete surprise before going “Oh right” and falling over
• “Javert, what are you doing?” “Oh, I’m just making my own gravestone.”
• We don’t have sound effects yet so when Gavroche dies, there’s no guns, just Marius saying “Bang” in a monotone deadpan
• Javert playing songs from La La Land on the piano
• We made a temporary barricade out of chairs and Courfeyrac knocked it over TWICE
• Valjean just walks in one day carrying four pizzas. That was a good day.
• “I love you, Enjolras!” “Grantaire, you’re drunk.” “I still love youuuuuu!”

So that’s that
