Hey look I’m back again with a Les Mis liveblog! It’s a Los Mis liveblog actually – I’m watching Los Miserables Madrid 2011 (thank you to the wonderful @bloodofangryman for recommending it!)

My god is he incredible! He’s just so… Javert.
I should also mention that I love this Valjean so much already too he’s equally as incredible as Javert ajsbfkghf I love this production so much already.
AND it sounds so incredibly beautiful in Spanish wow
How do you liveblog something when your reaction is stunned silence?
This. Valjean. Guys. This. Valjean. The emotion in his soliloquy!! Is killing me!! He’s incredible I’m speechless. The emotional breakdown he has after the bishop gives him the candlesticks actually really reminds me of the scene in the Brick.
Anyway the gorgeous Mayor of Montreuil-sur-Mer just arrived on stage I love him.
I am finding this hard to liveblog I have many emotions and inadequate words. Okay so…
1. Fantine is amazing especially in lovely ladies and talking to Madeleine
2. Talking of lovely ladies – everyone was incredible. This production is incredible.
3. Javert. Javert! Javert!! He’s so good!! His voice oh god his voice and Valjean and his beautiful voice and incredible acting oh god…
4. The way Javert says ‘señor alcalde’ the first time all soft and unsure yeah I’m dead
If I stop updating it’s because this production killed me dead
Javert holds Madeleine’s coat when he lifts the cart and offers him his hand then sings (the Spanish version (that I don’t understand) of) ‘a memory stirs…’ when Madeleine takes his hand askdnfkgf
Audngkjhjdf fuck. The confrontation. Fuck. That was incredible?? I don’t usually start this incomprehensible babbling until ‘bring him home’ what’s wrong with me tonight?
There are so many small things that both actors do that make is so perfect. It’s clear both of them fear each other – Valjean because of who Javert is and Javert because he knows he can’t realistically physically stand up to Valjean if Valjean decides he wants to hurt him – and I really liked that. Also, Valjean chokes Javert with a chain and then Javert sings like a man who’s just be choked by a chain I really liked that too. Just small details like that make me love them so much.
This Valjean is a big strong scary softie I love him so much-

Javert’s intervention? Incredible. Especially the way he talked to Thenardier – so intense! (And watching each Valjean escape in different ways is always amusing)
Stars? Wow?? I have no words just watch it he’s incredible.
(Also this Gavroche has the loveliest voice it’s soft and please don’t die)
Aksnfkgnf okay. So. The brilliant cast isn’t just restricted to Valjean and Javert. This Enjolras is possibly the best Enjolras I’ve ever seen. He’s so passionate and enthusiastic about what he believes in (and more than a little dramatic). And he looks like Enjolras should too! Now we all know I’m a would-die-1000-times-for-Jean-Valjean kind of nonbinary but I would absolutely lay down my life at the barricades for this Enjolras.
Sale el sol was incredible?? And did I mention I love Jean Valjean?
Also this Marius is such an awkward little noodle Cosette and him are so adorable together!
Eponine’s death hurt so much?? She sounds and looks as if she’s in pain the whole way through and Marius is so upset and Enjolras is obviously affected by it too aaaaaa…
Oh hey guess what time it is?

Also Javert picks Valjean’s gun up from where it was lying against the wall and shoves it into his hands like ‘look, a gun, this is what you use to kill someone you moron use it’ and haha ouch!
Also what is it with this Valjean and choking Javert with things?Salvalo:
Valjean: *emotional dramatic singing*
Marius: *sleeping draped over the barricade like a wet noodle*

Did you have to put a spotlight on every single ami as they were shot multiple times one after the other?
Did you have to break my heart that many times in a row?
I’m exhausted and I’ve got an hour left of this so I’m going to leave it for now and return to the heartbreak tomorrow 🙂
Oh hey it’s me again. Oh hey Javert’s suicide was so good.
He sounded so conflicted and scared and when he climbed up onto the bridge he looked really unstable like he was about to fall off and the emotion in his voice I love him please stop hurting me like this
Candles were brought on stage during turning and they stayed for empty chairs at empty tables. Each ami came on stage and picked one up. I’m not crying you’re crying-
Valjean looked so happy when Cosette came to see him on his deathbed (death chair?) did you really need to give me more feelings haven’ t you done enough??
Dyhtps reprise gave me the shivers. If there is ever a time this song doesn’t make me incredibly emotional then I have lost my last shred of humanity this song means so much to me-
Los Mis Madrid was wonderful and the cast was absolutely brilliant I would definitely recommend watching it!
