what amazes me about les mis is how, even now, so many decades later, it’s still relevant to us and how we live
there’s still so much wrong in this world, so much pain, so much suffering
but with that comes the les amis of our generation
the enjolras’, the leaders, the fighters, the ones with the loudest voices, passionate hearts, and fire in their eyes
and not just the young
we have the valjean’s, the kind, the compassionate, the helpers, the selfless, the loving and the saviors
the fantine’s, the dreamers, the lovers, the mothers, those who would do anything for those they care for
and with every wrong we right, we have the marius’ and the cosette’s, the survivors, left to carry the legacy and keep the change going
regardless of your place in the ongoing revolution, learn from les mis—learn from it and never give up
because they never did, not even in their last moments
