Shout out to my Arabic teacher that looked at us yesterday mid-lesson and said, “I’m worried. You all look exhausted and depressed.”
Of course we were all like, “Oh yeah we’re dead inside, you haven’t noticed?”
And he snapped shut the textbook, threw up his hands and said, “That’s not healthy! No more vocab! Time for dancing!”
And he taught us a dance from Iraq and we danced instead of doing vocab. We didn’t stop dancing until he saw all of us laughing and was satisfied that we were all feeling better. It was perhaps the coolest, most kind-hearted thing I’ve ever seen a college instructor do.
One of my favorite things about the release of The Force Awakens has been the surge of lgbtqia+ headcanons about the new characters as well as characters I have loved for years. And for me, ace headcanons are especially important, and so as such, I am here to talk about my ace space babes!!!
In this lovely new surge of Star Wars, I’ve gained a newfound love for Luke Skywalker, who wow oh wow I empathize with so much and rewatching he is so aro ace oh my god, AND I have a new excuse to talk about how much I love Obi-Wan Kenobi, who for a while has been my go-to biromantic ace fave. <333 And then seeing Rey on screen, I couldn’t help but think, oh my god my aro ace childwho adores her newfound friends with all her heart, as if I needed more reasons to love her.
I have A Lot of feelings about these headcanons… But this post will get too long if I go on about them. 🙂 These pics aren’t super big or super HQ, they are just designed to be avatars, but if anyone wants other sizes, let me know! Feel free to like or reblog if you use them, or hey, shoot me a message! I love these headcanons and these characters so much and would love to her your thoughts on them ❤
Yes, Enjolras is stern and serious and professional.
Yes, Enjolras values his work and the cause more than his own personal enjoyment.
Yes, Enjolras takes pride in himself and wants to be respected
But you are wrong if you think that dork wouldn’t blush like crazy every time Grantaire smiled at him because that’s his boyfriend and he doesn’t know how he ever got to be so lucky
Getting closer to what you saw in your head, eh? Keep at it!
Your story when somebody else sees it:

This is a lovely post. It goes to show that when we percieve our own work, most of us have some type of insecurities about our own talents.
Also possibly relevant is that probably when Van Gogh finished Starry Night, he jumped up and down in frustration for a while because it didn’t look as good as it had in his head.
Tolkien used to complain that he could never write anything as well as he could imagine it. So you know, ‘good enough’ is definitely a thing.
