honestly the fact that ‘anne with an e’ takes place in the later 1800s/early 1900s and has more queer character and themes than some modern shows, talks about the extremely abundant racism that was the norm at the time, and promotes equality for women in life and marriage, as well as simply encouraging friendship and creativity is wild and amazing
