I’ve had this doodle in my wip folder for literally months I am so pleased to finally post it because honestly that post??? I cry every time bro it’s wonderful. also all the more emosh when you remember the last time courf jumps on marius and gives him a big hug is when he saves courf and gavroche at the barricade :,)

Enjolras is actually very good at chess but gets upset over sacrificing pawns for the sake of the king and goes off about how monarchy is wrong while obliterating Combeferre in under ten moves.

Combeferre: Are you moving your knight or not?

Enjolras: … I am. Checkmate.

Courfeyrac: THAT’S YOUR THIRD GAME IN TEN MINUTES, WTF.

Prouvaire’s the one who gets upset if sacrificing the horses and towers is necessary. 

Courfeyrac: Come on, man, is not a real horse!

Prouvaire: HE IS TO ME!

Ends up winning the game anyway and saying “I’ve done those horses justice today, they shall never be forgotten…”
