What I mean: In the 2018 production of Les Misérables in London, during A Little Fall Of Rain, all of Les Amis look at Ponine and Marius, except Grantaire who after a while just stares longingly at Enjolras, as if he wished for the two of them to be in their places, just so he can feel loved by E at least once in his life. Or maybe he’s just now wondering whether his faith in Enjolras is deserving and whether it would have been better discourage him from revolting

I have no idea if this has been said before but anyway. As we know Grantaire was sleeping during the whole fight at the barricade but he woke up the moment Enjolras was ready to be shot to death and died with him. So, what if Grantaire sleeping and then waking at the right time was a parallelism with the people of Paris? We can easily reach to that conclusion considering the uprising of 1848. Like Grantaire, the people may not have been present during the June Rebellion but they actually rose when they felt the time was right. Grantaire was not there in the fight, but rose only when his instinct told him it was the right time. And Enjolras saw it. He saw that despite doubt and despair, in the end there would always be hope. And he smiled before he died, not only because Grantaire had finally joined the cause, but also because he would not be the last one to do so.

100 years; Grantaire wakes up with no memories and somehow all of his memories all at once. He recalls the thundering of cannons and the flash of muskets, and then nothing. But it’s 2018, and Enjolras is in bed beside him telling him he should remember a whole lot more. Both a past life and memory loss AU. (WIP) (tw trans pregnancy)

Restless Spirits; Combeferre thinks his and Enjolras’ shared apartment is haunted, and enlists Jehan’s help to find out for sure. It turns out to be a bit less paranormal than first thought…

First comes love, then comes marriage; Cosette and Marius are getting married, and the ensuing celebrations leave Enjolras – perpetually a bachelor and secretly pining – sharing a room with Grantaire. It’s fine. Obviously.

ok so has anyone ever considered stage actor enjolras and techie grantaire???

some important points

– grantaire most definitely plans his lighting cues exactly when they make enjolras’ hair glow like a halo

– enjolras always playing the leading man/love interest characters because he’s just so beautiful and has the voice of an angel

– because of all the women that he very convincingly kisses on stage, grantaire is so sure he’s straight

– this doesn’t stop grantaire from flirting with him whenever possible (and most definitely missing sound and light cues because of it)

– when costumer jehan tells grantaire that enj is gay as hell, he couldn’t be happier

– stage manger combeferre is definitely done with all of the pining and shit like come on guys its distracting from the show

– enjolras’ fellow actors cosette, courfeyrac, musichetta, and marius keep trying to tell enj that grantaire likes him, dammit, but enj is having none of it. theres just no way, and besides, itd distract from the show

– the very small pit of éponine, joly, bossuet, montparnasse, and floreal (who i really should talk about more)

– feuilly is the set designer and he builds them with the help of his boyfriend bahorel and they are killing it

– valjean is the director

– no, cosette got in on pure talent

– valjean aint about that favoritism life ~~yes he is~~

Enjolras waking up from a terrible and very vivid nightmare and Grantaire rocking him back to sleep while humming a song because he has a very beautiful singing voice

Enjolras trying to cook breakfast for once and fucking it up completely and ending up presenting burnt toasts, an over-cooked egg and his apologies. But Grantaire doesn’t care, at least he got that blush on his cheeks he loves so much right

Grantaire getting the worst back aches because of his terrible posture and the fact that he’s focused on his work so much so Enjolras volunteers to give him generously long and in-depth massages

Sorry but there is nothing cuter than Enjolras calling Grantaire “mon coeur” and Grantaire calling Enjolras “mon ange”

And they whisper these little names as often as they can and it still feels special each time because they have never called anyone else like that before

Them being able to communicate silently. Grantaire can sense when Enjolras is uncomfortable or angry and he takes his hand and brushes his thumb with his to reassure/calm him down
